Twitter Was Down (NYSE: TWTR) After Kobe Bryant Helicopter Crash – Did Political Focus Harm Code?

ONN – Twitter Was Down (NYSE: TWTR) After Kobe Bryant Helicopter Crash – Did Political Focus Harm Code?

On Sunday, Twitter users complained of wild platform behavior after the of Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crash death spread. Now, it turns out that Twitter crashed.

The question I have is did the crash happen because Twitter installed new code that was to supposedly control tweet language? One thing I noticed is that Twitter in the past had a system of caching so that large traffic flows were controlled. Now with the Kobe passing that seems not to be the case, particularly with mobile-generated tweets.

UPDATE: Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) Suggested Followers Show Return Of Tech Racism It Was Known For

For example, if you have your Twitter account active from both your laptop and mobile device, Twitter’s code goes haywire and acts as if you’re two different people. Then, the code behaves as if it’s programmed to be super-sensitive to automated tweets, when the action is very much human.

Imagine millions of tweets about the same thing in five seconds? This Twitter code seems unable to handle that.

Twitter is way too focused on politics and needs to return to the basics of handling microblog traffic.

Stay tuned.

Note from Oakland Now Technical: this video-blog post shows the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of media. The uploaded video is from a ger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland Now site and -created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of , interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the and within seconds and not hours. Now, is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
