Super Bowl LV Preview: Tom Brady To Scottie Miller Deep Pass Before Halftime KC Chiefs Defense Must Stop

The NFL Network is, as this is written, showing a replay of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Game from earlier in the 2020 NFL Season, at Allegiant Stadium. It reminded me of what happened to the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game vs. the same Bucs.

With just over 10 second left before halftime, and the Packers Defense just kinda loafing around, more thinking about going to the locker room than playing the game, Tom Brady shocked them with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Scotty Miller. (Now, since we are here, we might as well note that Scotty Miller thinks he’s faster than Tyreek Hill of KC. LOL.)

The Bucs did that to the Raiders, and so we see the reasons why Tampa Bay got away with it:

1. Close to halftime, so opposing team’s defense is ready to head for the lockerroom.
2. Bucs have the lead, so no reason to take a deep shot.

3. Because of that, they’re not expecting a deep shot pass.
4. The defense is plain vanilla – four man rush and no blitz.

To avoid this, the Kansas City Chiefs should bring five or even six ,but not four, pass-rushers, and collapse the middle of the pocket. Tom Brady has had clean pockets to work with; gotta collapse it.

And bump and run with the receivers – you can chuck off the line, not hold, but run. If I were the Chief’s defensive coordinator, that’s what I would do. Considering that Tom’s not a runner – using a variation of the Chicago Bears’ 46 Defense is best here.

Stay tuned.

Note from Zennie62Media’s Zennie62 YouTube and Oakland News Now Today Blog SF Bay Area: this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
