Early 90’s Soul Beat TV ads – nearly all in-house productions with exception of the last one – includes such Ramm’s Furniture, Foothill Square, The Real McCoys B-B-Q, Art’s Crab Shak (a popular spot that used to be on Broadway near 43rd St.) and TJ’s Gingerbread House which was an Oakland landmark and popular destination for a few decades up until the 2007 closing of its doors at 741 5th Street (between Castro & Brush streets) in Oakland located between the towering concrete slabs that are the BART tracks and the Nimitz Freeway. These commercials all aired on Chuck Johnson’s (Rest In Peace) bygone era Soul Beat Television.
