Oakland A’s Send Letter Asking Fans To Get City Council To Drop Alameda County Lawsuit

ONN – Oakland A’s Send Letter Asking Fans To Get City Council To Drop Alameda County Lawsuit

The Oakland Athletics sent this letter via email to Media 17 minutes ago related to the Oakland Ballpark Issue:

All,

As of today, the City of Oakland has not dropped its lawsuit against Alameda County. The A’s want to work with the City of Oakland. The team is offering the City of Oakland $85 million to purchase their portion of the Coliseum site, plus a community benefits package that would include affordable housing and labor-friendly contracts.

Urge Oakland City Council to drop the lawsuit!

Oakland City Councilmembers need to hear from their constituents. If you live and/or work in Oakland, attend the City Council meeting next Tuesday and make yourself heard!

Date: Tuesday, November 5th
Time: 5:30pm

Note from Oakland Now Technical: this video-blog post shows the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Media mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Media’s new and innovative approach to the production of media. The uploaded video is from a ger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland Now site and -owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of , interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
