ONN – Godzilla vs Kong Filming In Hawaii, Then Atlanta, For 2020 Release
Adam Wingard is in Hawaii as the director with a huge assignment: Godzilla vs. Kong. This remake of the most famous giant monster movie in history marks the third leg of movies in Legendary’s “Monsterverse”.
After Godzilla 2014, Kong: Skull Island, and the upcoming Godzilla: King of The Monsters In 2019, Godzilla vs Kong picks up with an interesting story. It’s not just about the two monsters fighting but about a human group focused on getting rid of all of the earth’s monsters.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.”
Godzilla vs. Kong: Cast
The cast of Godzilla vs. Kong is a mix of veterans in Legendary’s Monsterverse, and new actors and actresses.
Headlining the new arrivals is a legend himself: Alexander Skarsgård of the monster hit True Blood. Joining Skarsgård is Millie Bobbie Brown who stars in Godzilla: King of The Monsters and Stranger Things. Then we have Rebecca Hall (Christine, Professor Marston and the Wonder Women), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, Widows), Lance Reddick (John Wick), Ziyi Zhang (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Shun Oguri (Gintama), Eiza González (Baby Driver), Van Marten (Avengers: Infinity War) Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street, Manchester by the Sea) and Demián Bichir (The Nun, The Hateful Eight).
