Oakland – A must-attend Oakland live-music event: five amazing women of Hip-Hop who rep Oakland – Kreayshawn, Namaste Shawty, Hunnytinted, Coolreve, and Saba Moeel AKA Pink Cat Daily – will perform this Monday, February 10th, in a show called “Flowers” at the Level 13 nightclub at 341 13th Street. Let’s meet the Oakland legends via their bios.
Kreayshawn: According to Wikipedia, Natassia Gail Zolot is better known by her stage name Kreayshawn, is an American rapper, singer, creative director of OK 1984 and music video director from Oakland, California. In 2011, while serving as a member of a rap group with her friends, she released the music video to her debut single, “Gucci Gucci”, to and viral success.
Namaste Shawty : DJ Namaste Shawty, better known as “Nono” according to “Women Sound Off”, is one of the rising women DJs in the Bay Area. “Women Sound Off” writes: “A self-professed bruja, Nono’s goal has always been to create a space to uplift women for their voices to be heard. As a DJ, a radio host, and a curator, she found and built a community of people who, like her, are going against the mainstream.”
Hunnytinted: Tinter BelLe AKA Hunnytinted Calls herself the “Fairy rap princess from the bay.” Hunnytinted is known for working with such greats as the Grammy-nominated producer Stylo Live, as well as a sound and rap that’s as much intensely poetic as it is dance-worthy. She performed at the “Live Is Living” Festival in Oakland, and with Hazel Rose, Madlines, and Coco Peila. Watch out for her upcoming apparel line. Coolreve: “Photographer in the Bay Area, Nasty with the visuals….Got a hand in filming/directing/editing as well” is how Coolreve describes herself. Chances are if you’ve seen a cool Oakland video on social media, you’ve seen the name “Coolreve”. But there’s more, and we’ll learn about that Monday at the Level 13 Oakland Event. And did you know Coolreve made images for….
Pink Cat: Saba Moeel AKA Pink Cat or “Pink Cat Daily”, is described by Fader this way: “Born in Shiraz, Iran and raised in Oakland, California, there’s a direct line between Moeel’s culture and upbringing and the pieces she designs and sells on her website — mythical middle eastern elements, dripping skater imagery, and beautiful, Arabic and Farsi writing are all major players in her work. She’s in the middle of working on two albums — a rap project and a Hindu spirituals record inspired by her longtime practice of transcendental meditation. Pink Cat can’t be neatly boxed into one category — whether it’s by government borders or creative limitations.”

This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. The uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.Zennie62Media, Inc with CEO Zenophon Abraham.
