Baltimore Ravens Bad Gameplan Vs Titans: Forgot Derrick Henry Existed, No End Around Runs

ONN – Baltimore Ravens Bad Gameplan Vs Titans: Forgot Derrick Henry Existed, No End Around Runs

A baffling game plan that has the Baltimore Ravens is a hole, down 28 to 12 against the Tennessee Titans with just 6:54 left in the NFL AFC First Round Divisional Playoff Game. The nation, minus a few hedge-betting types, is shocked over the Ravens piss-pour offensive and defensive performance. But, to sum it up, it seems to this vlogger that the Ravens forgot that the Titans Derrick Henry existed, and that they can’t run the running back dive, quarterback read-option in the playoffs without complementary end-around runs by the wide receivers.

The Ravens Defense, with its constant base-alignment that says “plain vanilla”, was drawn up as if Baltimore forgot that Henry could run. There was not one series that the Ravens called a defense that was an obvious sell-out to stop the run – until the waning minutes of the contest.

On offense, the Ravens need to vary the run game so that it has more ways to attack the defense other than Jackson. That would cause the organization to focus on developing Jackson as a field general.   In this game, the Ravens ran the running back dive read option many times, obviously hoping to strike gold with a Lamar Jackson Internet-breaking run.

The Titans were ready for it.

As for the Titans, Mike Vrable formed a simple approach: a game plan based around Derrick Henry, and with timely bootlegs by quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

The same Ryan Tannehill I interviewed when he was drafted:

Stay tuned.

Note from Oakland News Now Technical: this video-blog post shows the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. The main system is a major part of Zennie62Media’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. There, an uploaded video is from a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Now site and Zennie62-owned social media pages. This part allows rapid conversion of YouTube videos from any source channel (with permission and from Zennie62 on YouTube) to Oakland News Now blog posts. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
