The Star Wars Episode IX Trailer was released in Chicago, during “SWCC”: Star Wars Celebration Chicago. The movie it reveals is called Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, and here it is:
The trailer (which already has about 500,000 views) features Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Issac, starts with Ridley facing off against what appears to be Kyo-Ren’s fighter spaceship. Then, once it gets closer, she leaps to a great height, turns upside down, and then the scene ends. The trailer cuts to various, brief clips, including one featuring Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. Yes, he’s back, and he’s piloting the Millennium Falcon, once again!
Carrie Fisher’s In Star Wars Episode IX
There’s also a scene with Daisy Ridley and the late Carrie Fisher, and they’re hugging. No, it’s not CGI, as unused film from Star Wars: The Force Awakens was used. It makes one want to cry, missing Fisher, and yet its appropriate and fitting to have her back in Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker will be released on Christmas Day. And, of course, it will be at Oakland’s Grand Lake Theater.
